Trees, 1.5-6 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves alternate, (70-)95-235 mm mm long, 3.5-26 mm mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, red or pink; pedicels 3-6 mm long. Perianth 5-7 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 15-18 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Follicles 15-26 mm long, 12-18 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 14-22 mm long (including wing), 7-12.5 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in June, July, August or September. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
