Erect, sometimes spreading, lignotuberous shrub, 0.3-2.5(-5) m high. Fl. yellow/green-yellow, Jun to Oct. White, grey or yellow sand to sandy loam, often with lateritic gravel.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-2.5 m high; branchlets hairy, not ribbed. Leaves alternate, 10-45 mm long, 1-6 mm wide, hairy; lamina subterete or flat, clearly widest above the middle or more or less the same width throughout, entire, smooth or scabrous, the margins flat or revolute; apex pungent. Inflorescences yellow; pedicels 0.3-0.5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 8-10 mm long, radially symmetrical, hairy, the hairs spreading; anther appendage present, 0.3-0.4 mm long; ovary glabrous; pistil 7-8 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
