Tree or shrub, to 12 m high, bark dark grey, fibrous; phyllodes more or less glaucous & slightly pruinose; inflorescence in spikes. Fl. yellow/pink, Jul to Aug. Red skeletal stony loam, orange-brown pebbly,gravel loam, laterite, banded ironstone, basalt. Rocky hills, breakaways, scree slopes, gorges, creek beds.
