Scientific Description

Stems ribbed or unribbed. Leaves flat, 15-45 mm long, 2-5 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 8-10 mm long, hairy, with glandular hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 5-6 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 6-9 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla blue or purple, 18-25 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, glandular hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 4.5-9.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 11-16 mm long, wings present on both sides, 2.2-3 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 10-13 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in July, August and September. Occurs in the Pilbara (PIL), Gascoyne (GAS) and Little Sandy Desert(LSD) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
