Erect, spreading, thicket-forming, thorny tree or shrub, to 4 m high, bark dark grey, rough; leaves pinnate. Fl. yellow, Jun to Aug. Stony sandy, clay or loam soils, gravel. Low-lying areas, river and creek banks, disturbed sites.
