Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.1-0.8 m high, blade 3-4-pinnate at the base; sori marginal or continuous along margin; margin slightly inrolled. Red to brown, sandy to clayey loam. Exposed rocky areas, granitic outcrops.
