Scientific Description

Prostrate,spreading or scrambling or twining or climbing plants, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 55-120 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present but early deciduous ( only visible on youngest leaves ). Pedicel present, 0.8-1 mm long, glabrous. Bracteoles present but early deciduous. Calyx 3-3.5 mm long, not accrescent, glabrous, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 7-8.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 6-8.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 6-8 mm long, not auriculate, keel 7-8.5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.2-0.3 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen, 7-9 mm long. Ovary stipitate, hairy or glandular; style 10-11 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), stipitate, constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, not beaked. Flowers in April, May, June and August. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Pilbara, Carnarvon and Gascoyne IBRA regions.
