Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves alternate, simple, 6-15 mm long, 0.7-1.5 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers verrucose (warty); corolla yellow or white or cream, petals five, 4.5-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, hairy on the surfaces; stamens twice as many as petals, 6-7 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.7-0.8 mm long, without an appendage. Flowers in September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Three (P3).
