Prostrate, straggling or erect, slender, rush-like shrub, 0.05-0.5(-1.5) m high. Fl. yellow, Mar to Jun or Oct to Nov. Moist sandy or loamy soils, gravelly lateritic soils. Swampy areas, creeklines, rocky hillsides.
