Scientific Description

Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, opposite or alternate, not continuous with stem, 4.5-5.8 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, revolute; margins entire; tuberculate; pustules or glands absent. Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves or present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 2-2.5 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent, 1.5-2 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 3.7-4.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 9-9.2 mm long; claws present. Stamens ten; filaments free (or united at the very base). Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 3.8-4 mm long, 3-3.5 mm wide, stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority One (P1).
