Scientific Description

Shrubs; branchlets glabrous, not ribbed, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 30-45 mm long, 6-10 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle or more or less the same width throughout, entire. Inflorescences red or pink. Perianth 11-15 mm long, hairy, simple-hairy, the hairs appressed, the limb apex hairy at the apex only; pistil 10-15 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 3-5 mm long. Cone with deciduous scales. Flowers in May, June or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
