Erect or prostrate,spreading or scrambling, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 5-20 mm long, glabrous, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, leaflets 3-5, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves. Pedicel present, 3.5 mm long, glabrous. Bracteoles present and persistent. Calyx 5.5 mm long, not accrescent, glabrous, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 8 mm long, multicoloured, mostly pink or purple, with some pink or purple spots, streaks or blotches; claws present; standard 7.6 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 7 mm long, not auriculate. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 4.5-9.2 mm long, 6.5-7 mm wide, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, glabrous, not beaked. Flowers in July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Geraldton Sandplains, Avon Wheatbelt, Jarrah Forest, Mallee, Warren, Esperance and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA regions.
