Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.05-0.5 m high, blade 1-3-pinnate at the base; pinnules membranous; sori coalescing, unprotected. Fl. Jan to Mar or Jul to Aug. Loam, clay-loam, grey/black silt. Rock crevices, under rock ledges, banks of watercourses or pools.
