Scientific Description

Prostrate,spreading or scrambling, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 20-32 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, leaflets 17-19, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves. Pedicel present, 5.5-8 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent, 4-6 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 9.5-10 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 11-13 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 10.5-12.6 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 8.5-11 mm long, not auriculate, keel 11-11.5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 1-2 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 7.5-9.6 mm long. Ovary hairy or glandular; style 10-11 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in July, August and September. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Pilbara and Gascoyne IBRA regions.
