Erect, leafless shrub, 0.3-0.6 m high. Fl. yellow, Sep to Nov. Sandy soils, lateritic gravel. Hillslopes, sandplains.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades absent or apparently so (reduced to scales). Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves, without glands, ribless. Pedicel present, 2-2.5 mm long, glabrous. Calyx 4.5-7 mm long, not accrescent, glabrous, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 9-12 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; standard 9-9.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 6-9 mm long, not auriculate, keel 6-10 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.8-1 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 7-8 mm long. Ovary stipitate; style 8-13 mm long, glabrous, not bearded. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle). Flowers in September, October and November. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Jarrah Forest, Warren, Esperance and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA regions.
