Erect, spindly shrub, 0.3-1.2(-2) m high. Fl. pink, Jan or Apr or Jul to Dec. Loam, clay, sand, laterite. Gullies, granite outcrops, shady spots.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs simple or stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, compound, 10-25 mm long, with 5-9 leaflets, each 5-10 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with simple hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 12-15 mm long; calyx present, 0.5-1.5 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla pink, petals four, 5-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 2 mm long, warty with prominent raised glands, glabrous; anthers 0.5 mm long. Flowers in January, April, July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Jarrah Forest, Warren and Esperance IBRA region(s).
