Much-branched shrub, 0.4-1 m high, juvenile leaves sometimes trifoliolate, mature leaves simple; sepals about the same size as petals. Fl. white-pink, May to Jul. Sandy soils on sandstone. Rocky areas with spinifex.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves opposite, simple, 12-65 mm long, 2-10 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers in axillary, loose clusters (cymes or panicles); pedicels 4-20 mm long; calyx present, 2.5-6 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla pink or white or cream, petals four, 2-4.5 mm long, valvate (not overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, smooth, hairy. Flowers in May, June and July. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the North Kimberley and Central Kimberley IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Three (P3).
