Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.2-0.6 m high, fronds non-circinnate; blade 1-pinnate; pinnae small, pouch-like; sporangia 2-4 within pouch. Fl. Jan to Dec. Moist white to grey sand, loam, clay. Rocky outcrops, near streams or swamps.
