Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-55 mm long, 25-60 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire, toothed or lobed. Bracteoles present, 4-8 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1.5-6 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 6-10 mm long, glabrous. Corolla yellow, 12-18 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-7 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6.5-9 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1.2-1.8 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.4-3.5 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary superior, not gibbose; style (4-)6-9 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Occurs in the Pilbara (PIL), Murchison (MUR), Coolgardie (COO), Carnarvon (CAR), Gascoyne (GAS), Gibson Desert (GD), Little Sandy Desert(LSD), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) and Mallee (MAL) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
