Scientific Description

Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 60-90 mm long, glabrous, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present; pustules or glands absent. Calyx 5-6 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 16 mm long, uniformly coloured, purple; standard 12-12.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 9-11 mm long, not auriculate, keel 11-12 mm long, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen. Ovary; style 4.5-5 mm long. Flowers in August and December. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Gascoyne, Little Sandy Desert and Murchison IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority One (P1).
