Erect to spreading shrub, to 4 m high. Fl. orange/red/yellow, Jul to Dec or Jan. White, grey, yellow or brown sand, red-brown loam, sandy clay, gravel, laterite, limestone, granite. Undulating sandplains, low ridges, hillslopes, plateaus, moist depressions, breakaways, fringing salt marshes, roadverges.
