Erect tree or (mallee, rarely), 5-15 m high, persistent rough basal bark then smooth above; buds and fruits pruinose; operculum ribbed, beaked. Fl. white-cream, Aug to Dec or Jan to Feb. Sandy loam, red sand, clay. Plains and low stony rises.
