(Mallee) or tree, to 11 m high, bark rough, fibrous & flaky on trunk, smooth above, grey. Fl. yellow, Nov to Dec. Sandy or loam soils, limestone. Sub-coastal regions, flats, plains, desert sandhills, gravl pits.
