Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.1-0.4 m high, fronds 1-2-pinnate, glabrous, coriaceous; sori numerous; indusium present. Fl. Mar. Loam over granite, sandy loam, sandy clay. In rock crevices of rocky outcrops, in niches beneath overhanging rocks.
