Erect, compact, small tree or shrub, 0.6-2(-3) m high. Fl. blue-purple/blue, Apr to May or Nov. Sand, clay. Disturbed areas.

Stems, cross section more or less circular. Peltate scales absent. Leaves 25-80 mm long, 10-38 mm wide, opposite, trifoliate, with simple hairs, not bullate, not viscid. Bracteoles present, 0.5-0.7 mm long. Bracts present. 1.3-1.5. mm long Pedicel present, 2.5-3 mm long, with simple hairs, peltate scales hairs present. Calyx with five lobes, 0.2-0.5 mm long, not accrescent, dense, with simple hairs, not bullate. Corolla blue, 6-8 mm long, Dots or stripes in throat absent, wih simple hairs, not viscid, with four stamens, style 5-6 mm long, filament 3-4 mm long, anthers 1-1.2 mm long. Appendage absent. Flowering time April, May or November. Distribution Botanical Province Northern, IBRA Bioregion Dampierland.
