Scientific Description

Shrubs. Stems, cross section square. Peltate scales absent. Leaves 15-53 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, opposite, entire, with absent hairs, not bullate, viscid. Margins lobed. Bracteoles absent. Bracts present. 3.7-5. mm long Pedicel present, 2.5-4.5 mm long, with glandular hairs, peltate scales hairs present. Calyx with five lobes, 5-6.5 mm long, accrescent, sparsely hairy, with simple, glandular hairs, not bullate. Corolla blue or mauve, purple, lilac or violet, 4.5-7 mm long, Dots or stripes in throat absent, wih simple, glandular hairs, viscid, with four stamens, style 7-11 mm long, filament 1-2 mm long, anthers 1.7 mm long. Appendage absent. Flowering time July, August, September, October or November. Distribution Botanical Province Eremaeam or South-West, IBRA Bioregion Yalgoo, Murchison, Coolgardie, Geraldton Sandplains, Swan Coastal Plain, Avon Wheatbelt or Mallee.
