Erect to straggling shrub, 0.3-1.2 m high, leaves usually obtuse; bracts with purple or brown indumentum; inside of corolla hairy almost to top. Fl. white-purple, Aug to Dec. Sandy & gravelly lateritic soils. Shrublands.
