Highly aromatic, prostrate to ascending rhizomatous, perennial, herb, 0.15-0.7 m high. Fl. blue-purple-pink, Sep or Dec or Jan to Mar. Sandy or clay, usually damp soils. Winter-wet flats, creeklines, swamps.
