Erect, slender, compact or sprawling shrub, (0.3-)0.5-3 m high. Fl. white/white-blue-pink, Feb or Apr or Jun or Aug to Dec. White-grey to black sand, peaty sand, clay loam. Seasonally wet flats, swamps, sand dunes, limestone ridges, coastal areas.
