Erect shrub, 0.2-0.5 m high. Fl. blue, Oct to Dec or Jan. Gravelly sandy soils.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed or unribbed. Leaves flat, 15-75 mm long, 0.7-2 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 1.8-2.5 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 10-20 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 3-5.5 mm long, glabrous. Corolla blue, 18-20 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside; central lobes 7-8 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 9-12 mm long, wings present on both sides, 1-1.5 mm wide. Anthers rarely free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in January, October, November and December. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF) and Warren (WAR) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
