Prostrate to decumbent, short-lived annual, herb, 0.05-0.4 m high. Fl. yellow, Jun to Oct. Red sand or clay. Sand dunes, stony hills.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 15-30 mm long, 3-10 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins entire, toothed or lobed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 8-14 mm long, Indumentum present or glabrous, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-2.5 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 6-10 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 2-3 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 3-4 mm long, wings present on both sides, 1.3-1.5 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 2.5-4 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Yalgoo (YAL), Murchison (MUR), Great Victoria Desert (GVD), Coolgardie (COO), Carnarvon (CAR), Gascoyne (GAS), Gibson Desert (GD), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
