Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.12-0.57 m high, Leaves tufted, linear, 2.5-50 cm long, 0.5-3 mm wide, apex mucronate, margin involute, glabrous or scabrous. Membraneous scale leaves present at base of mature leaves. Scape pilose, glandular along inflorescence axis. Inflorescence head-like or racemose. Fl. pink, Oct to Dec. Sand, clay sand, sandy loam. Hillslopes, plains, depressions and granite outcrops. Heath, Agonis or mallee shrubland, open woodland.
