Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.1-0.5 m high, Leaves tufted, linear, 4-26 cm long, 0.6-2.1 mm wide, apex acute to mucronate, margin involute, glabrous. Membraneous scale leaves present at base of mature leaves. Scape pilose below inflorescence, glandular along inflorescence axis. Inflorescence cymose. Fl. white/pink/violet, Sep to Nov. Sand over limestone, granite or laterite. Hillslopes and flats. Mallee shrubland, low heath.
