Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.15-0.36 m high, Leaves tufted, oblanceolate to spathulate, 4-10 cm long, 5-20 mm wide, apex subacute to acuminate, margin entire, hoary. Scape with eglandular and glandular hairs. Inflorescence paniculate. Fl. white-cream, Aug to Nov. Clayey sand or sand over granite or laterite. Slopes of breakaways, depressions, or outcrops. Woodland or low heath.
