Membraneous scale leaves present at base of mature leaves. Scape with glandular and pilose hairs. Inflorescence cymose. Fl. white-cream, Aug to Nov. Sand, sandy loam, granite. Hillslopes, dunes, plains. Forest, woodland, shrubland, heath.
