Tree or shrub or (conifer), 1-3 m high, leaf acutely keeled; dorsal point of female cone scales vestigial or absent; seed wings 2, unequal. Sand, sandy clay, loam. Margins of swamps, salt lakes and streams, coastal sandhills.
