Scientific Description

Prostrate,spreading or scrambling, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, whorled, not continuous with stem, 3.5-5.5 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 1-1.5 mm long, glabrous. Bracteoles present and persistent. Calyx 6-6.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 7-9 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 6-8 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 5-6.6 mm long, not auriculate, keel 5-6.5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.4-0.6 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 3.5-5.3 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, glabrous; style 5.4-5.5 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, glabrous, not beaked. Flowers in January, February, March, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Yalgoo, Great Victorian Desert, Geraldton Sandplains, Avon Wheatbelt, Mallee and Esperance IBRA regions.
