Erect, spindly shrub, 0.6-3 m high. Fl. yellow, Feb or Apr to Oct. Basalt & sandstone. Stony slopes, outcrops.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 115-135 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 5-6.5 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 7.5-11 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 12.2-15 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 10-14 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 9-9.5 mm long, not auriculate, keel 9-10.5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.8-1 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen, 10-12 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, glabrous; style 12-13 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 20-35 mm long, 7-8 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Flowers in February, April, May, June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley, Central Kimberley and Dampierland IBRA regions.
