Prostrate perennial, herb, 0.05-0.15 m high. Fl. yellow, Jan to Jun or Sep. Sand, loam, gravel. Rocky slopes, seasonally damp areas, floodplains.

Scientific Description

Prostrate,spreading or scrambling, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like) or herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 20-40 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, terminal leaflet absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 5-9 mm long, without glands, ribless. Bracteoles present and persistent, 8-10 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 2-3 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs or with glandular hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 3.5-4.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present. Stamens ten. Fruit indehiscent and not splitting into sections, 7 mm long, 2 mm wide, constricted between the seeds, hairy, with simple hairs. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May and September. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley, Victoria Bonaparte and Central Kimberley IBRA regions.
