Scientific Description

Erect, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 40-115 mm long, 10-28 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands present. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 15-20 mm long, without glands, ribless. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 5-7 mm long, accrescent (enlarged in fruit), hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands present. Corolla 10-13 mm long; claws absent; standard 10-12 mm long, glabrous, wings 9-10.5 mm long, not auriculate, keel 9-10 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen. Fruit indehiscent and splitting into sections (schizocarps), stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley IBRA regions.
