Shrub, 0.2-0.7 m high, petaline anthers oblong, curved, ca 0.8 mm long. Fl. yellow/red, May to Aug. Sand over limestone. Heath and scrub.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, compound, 6-12 mm long, with 5-9 leaflets, each 3.5-10 mm long, 0.8-1.6 mm wide, flat, the margins flat or revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 1.5-2.5 mm long; calyx present, 1.2-1.8 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla red or yellow, petals four, 4-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals. Flowers in May, June, July and August. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Yalgoo and Geraldton IBRA region(s).
