Prostrate annual, herb, to 0.3 m high, densely covered in spreading hairs. Fl. Apr to Aug. Sandy soils. Sandhills and sandy flats.
Scientific Description
Twining or climbing plants, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 10-22 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, palmately arranged, terminal leaflet absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 5-6.5 mm long, without glands, ribless. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 5.5-6 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 6-7 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws absent; standard 5-5.2 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 5-5.2 mm long, not auriculate, keel 4.5-5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.2 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath, 3.5-4.6 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 3.6-5.5 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 30-33 mm long, 2.5-3 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, beaked. Flowers in April, May, June, July and August. Occurs in the Northern and Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Great Sandy Desert, Pilbara and Dampierland IBRA regions.
