Prostrate to semi-prostrate herb, 0.05-0.25 m high, characterised by conspicious pellucid glands on leaflets, stems, stipules and bracts. Fl. yellow/red/pink, Feb to Apr or Jul. Sandy soils. Near creeks, pindan vegetation, savannah woodland.

Scientific Description

Prostrate,spreading or scrambling, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 10-20 mm long, hairy, with gland-tipped hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, terminal leaflet absent, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 4-5 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Bracteoles present and persistent, 7-10 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 3-4 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 5.5-6.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 5-5.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 3 mm long, not auriculate, keel 4 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten. Fruit indehiscent and not splitting into sections, constricted between the seeds. Flowers in February, March and April. Occurs in the Northern and Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Pilbara and Ord-Victorian-Plain IBRA regions.
