Slender, erect, open shrub, to 3(-4) m high. Fl. white/purple/violet, Nov to Dec or Jan. Yellow-brown to black sandy clay, grey peaty sand over clay, mud over clay. Slightly undulating areas, seasonal wetlands, flats, creeklines, claypans, roadsides.
