Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 1-15 m high, fronds twining; sporangia on the margin in finger-like projections; pinnae basally jointed. Fl. Mar to Nov. Black or brown loam. Wet areas such as swamps and near creeks, waterfalls, wet rock crevices.
