Erect or spreading shrub, 0.15-0.5(-1) m high. Fl. yellow-orange-red-pink, Jul to Oct. Sandy, loamy soils, laterite, granite. Outcrops, undulating plains, ridges, coastal dunes, sometimes swampy areas.
