Erect or sprawling perennial, herb, 0.15-0.3 m high. Fl. yellow, Mar to Jun. Rocky soils. Screes, slopes.

Scientific Description

Erect or prostrate,spreading or scrambling, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 10-30 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, terminal leaflet absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 5-8 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Bracteoles absent. Calyx 3-4 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 7-8.2 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 6-7 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate. Stamens ten. Ovary; style 6-6.5 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit indehiscent and not splitting into sections, constricted between the seeds. Flowers in March, April and May. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley, Victoria Bonaparte, Central Kimberley and Ord-Victorian-Plain IBRA regions.
