Scientific Description

Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, spiny at least in part, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades absent or apparently so (reduced to scales). Corolla multicoloured, mostly orange, with some yellow spots, streaks or blotches. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 35-46 mm long, 5-9 mm wide, stipitate, flat or compressed, glabrous, not beaked. Flowers in January, April and June. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley and Central Kimberley IBRA regions.
