Scientific Description

Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 15-35 mm long, 3-7 mm wide, hairy or glabrous, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 6-7 mm long, without glands, ribbed. Pedicel present, 5-5.5 mm long, hairy. Calyx 13-14 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 16-20 mm long, mostly yellow, with some red spots, streaks or blotches; claws present; standard 15-19.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 16-17 mm long, not auriculate, keel 12.5-15 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, hairy at least in part. Stamens ten, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath, 7.5-12 mm long. Ovary stipitate, hairy or glandular; style 13-15 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Flowers in September and October. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Jarrah Forest and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA regions.
