Erect or ascending perennial, herb, 0.1-0.4 m high. Fl. yellow, May to Jun or Sep. Sandy loam, clay.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-90 mm long, 10-30 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, simple hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 7-12 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2.5-3 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 10-15 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 4-5.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 5.5-6 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.2-0.3 mm wide on the narrower side, 0.5-0.7 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 4-4.5 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in May, June and September. Occurs in the Pilbara (PIL), Central Ranges (CR), Gascoyne (GAS), Gibson Desert (GD) and Great Sandy Desert (GSD) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
